For over 100 years, Briggs & Stratton has manufactured reliable small engines to be used in lawn mowers and other products, including generators, pressure washers, snow blowers, and leaf blowers. Briggs & Stratton engines have evolved in many ways since the Type P (for “Portable”) rolled off the Milwaukee assembly line in October 1920, introducing practical small engines for residential and commercial use. Since then, we’ve built our engines to become quieter, lighter, cleaner, and more powerful to match the expanding needs of our customers.
To ensure our customers get the most out our engines, we have compiled a list of resources on this website. Dig deeper on our site to find information on lawn and small engine parts, repair information, and manuals; or find the engine for your push mower or riding lawn mower.
