Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am pleased with the performance of this engine I purchased this engine to replace a Briggs engine that had a faulty design with its air filter; I purchased the engine at the end of the mowing season and didn’t have a chance to really try it out until this spring. This engine runs strong and the filtration doesn’t seem to be an issue, I only wished it had a low oil cut off. Bottom line I am pleased with the performance of this engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great engine, love the filtration system. I bought a new Snapper zero turn with this engine on it. Have had it 3 months and so far really like it. The air filtration system really works well. When you see these ads it so often seems like another gimmick but this is for real. After mowing in some very harsh conditions it is amazing how clean the filter is. The only slight issue I have is that it is kind of cold blooded after starting but when warmed up it is perfect. I think they have the carbs leaned down to get the emissions where they want. It also is very fuel efficient. Really like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power for John Deere Z600 series riders Have had 2 Z655 zero turn mowers with the Commercial engine. Once broken in, they start well, have plenty of power, use little if any oil, retain super clean air filter, and fuel consumption is reasonable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Charging Problem This engine is on a Ferris Zero-Turn I have put 21 hours on since 6/12. I have had it fail to start twice, at about 10 hour intervals. Both times it was determined the voltage regulator failed to charge the battery. I do not know how this will end, but hopefully the next voltage regulator will function correctly. I have very little confidence in mechanics being able to identify definitively the sources of electrical problems. It is hard to believe I am the only one who has had regulator issues, and even more unbelievable it has happened twice.
