For our location in Wijchen, part of Briggs & Stratton Netherlands B.V., we are now looking for an enthusiastic and driven (Sr) Administrative Assistant (m/f/d) to join the team.

In Wijchen (a modern distribution centre & office), a total of 25 employees work in a logistics, Supply Chain, IT, Data Analytics, Administrative, Compliance, or Financial role. You will therefore be part of a small, close-knit team within a global company. The culture is open and collaborative, with short lines of communication and ample room for personal development. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the success of the company, where teamwork and flexibility are central. 

As an Administrative Assistant, you will report to the site director and support him with a variety of day-to-day and ad hoc activities that ensure the site runs smoothly. This also includes a number of HR admin. tasks.

In your role, you will be given the opportunity to

  • Coordinate day-to-day office management tasks, such as mail processing, annual leave planning, birthdays & anniversaries, various internal communications, and the (co-)organisation or coordination of staff activities and/or gifts.
  • Coordinate site visits and travel: meetings, flights, hotels, rental cars, dinners, lunches, etc..
  • Be the first point of contact for general employee queries.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end process regarding company clothing.
  • Support (purchasing) processes and/or staff queries concerning coffee/tea/soft drinks/water, facility resources, office supplies, telephony, ICT accessories, warehouse support matters, and workstation coordination.
  • Support HR with onboarding/offboarding, absenteeism (Wet Poortwachter/Gatekeeper Improvement Act), and various leave administration and payroll changes.

Who we are looking for:

  • MBO / HBO work and thinking level (Intermediate or Higher Vocational Education).
  • A minimum of 5 years of job-related work experience.
  • Experience with HR Administrative tasks, processes, legislation, and regulations is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and organise and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel), Google environment.
  • In addition to fluent Dutch, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organised, self-managing, and proactive. Attention to detail.
  • Building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
