Step 1: Confirm Correct Model Number
Does your model number look like the image below?The 6-character model number and 2-character revision of your Briggs & Stratton standby generator will make it easy to order maintenance or repair parts either online or from your local dealer.
Please Note: Briggs & Stratton standby generator model numbers start with 04. Including the revision in your manuals search will increase the accuracy of the search results.
Does the number you have look like this? If not, locate the correct number by following instructions in Step 2.
Step 2: Locate the Model Number
Regardless of your Standby Generator, the model number will be in one of these 3 locations.
10kW vertical - under the roof
On the data tag on the inside of the door or on the floor of the enclosure
12kW vertical - under the roof
17-20kW horizontal - right panel
LC units - on the control panel assembly
Now that you have located your model number:
