Although you will be based in our Wijchen, NL location, this stand-alone role is responsible for IT support for the whole EMEA region.

The Wijchen office (a modern Distribution Center & office) is home to a total of 24 employees working in logistics, IT, Data Analytics, Regulatory Compliance, Finance or Administrative roles. This means you will be part of a small, close-knit team within a global company. The culture is open and collaborative, with short communication lines and ample space for personal development. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the company's success, with teamwork and flexibility at the core.

The EMEA region has a very lean IT set-up. You will be solely responsible for IT ‘systems administration’ activities as well as IT support. For day-to-day IT service desk activities, you will have the support of 1-2 contractors. The EMEA region is also supported by Briggs’ 24 hour global IT back-office.

In your role, you will be given the opportunity to

Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT Services that support the core organizational functions in the EMEA regio

Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems.

Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Who we are looking for:

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Five years of related IT (desktop support) experience.

Fluent in English and Dutch. Working proficiency in German is a strong bonus.

Solid knowledge and experience with servers, networks, PC/printer maintenance, antivirus software, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office.

Ability to recognize and analyze technical problems.

Well-developed project management skills.

Advanced understanding of IT policies, standards and procedures.

Strong ability to communicate and explain technical needs and problems to provide solution.

Demonstrated ability to handle escalations with professionalism and speed.

Willing to travel from time to time within Europe.
