Oil Recommendation

SAE 30 is good for all-purpose use in temperatures at or above 40 ֯F (5 ֯C and higher); use in temperatures below 40 ֯F will cause hard starting.

Synthetic 5W-30 provides the best protection at all temperatures (-20 to 120 ֯F/-30 to 40 ֯C), as well as improved starting with less oil consumption.

Types of Oil to Use

  • Use a high quality detergent oil classified as “For Service SF, SG, SH, SJ” or higher
  • Do not use special additives
  • Choose a viscosity according to the recommendations above
  • Oil specifically designed to withstand harsh conditions and protections
