MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (April 12, 2017) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation introduces a new durable and corrosion-resistant aluminum enclosure for its standby generator systems, specifically designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, including hurricane-force winds up to 175 mph.
“The new exterior is designed with residents living in coastal regions in mind,” said Brian Northway, product manager for Briggs & Stratton standby power. “The Atlantic and Gulf coastlines are regions that can be especially corrosive on outdoor appliances and equipment because of the strong winds, high humidity and salt air, and these new enclosures prevent damage from those outside elements.”
Homeowners now have the option to upgrade from the standard galvanized steel enclosure to the new corrosion-resistant aluminum exterior and stainless steel base. The new aluminum unit will be offered on both the Briggs & Stratton and Briggs & Stratton Fortress brand for 20kW1standby generator systems.
