What kind of gas should be used in this engine? Normal car gas

Asked by: Jonjonisdamon
Briggs & Stratton recommends using clean, fresh (less than 3 weeks old), UNLEADED gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON) with equipment. DO NOT mix oil with fuel. DO NOT modify the engine fuel system or carburetor to run on alternative fuels. Fuel with up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) or up to 15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether), is acceptable.

is the 4 horse block the same as the 5 horse raptor block?

Asked by: jcub
Not having better definition on which model and type engines you are inquiring about, if I assume the same family of engines (side verses overhead valve) the base cylinder is the same. On top of our previous disclaimer different engine specs have different accessories that might not be compatible between cylinders.
