Introducing Briggs & Stratton's #NeverChange Contest Winners

APRIL 27, 2015 – Briggs & Stratton Corporation (NYSE: BGG) recently celebrated the launch of the new EXi Series engines – the only walk behind mower engine that will never need an oil change* – with a #NeverChange social media photo contest. Briggs & Stratton asked fans and followers to share photos of what they never want to change using the hashtag #NeverChange. During the eight week contest, nearly 1,500 entries featured family members, favorite foods and many outstanding experiences.

We enjoy these contests because they give us another way to interact with our customers,” said Carissa Gingras, marketing director of consumer engine and service. “We saw a lot of great energy and excitement from the entrants and we’re happy we were able to launch the EXi message in a unique way to a wide audience.”

The Winners

Briggs & Stratton contest judges sifted through the entries to determine a Grand Prize Winner and a Second Prize Winner, and hundreds of consumers voted on two Fan Favorites. All winners will receive new lawn mowers equipped with Briggs & Stratton® EXi engines. Amy Thyng of Austin, TX and the photo of her son’s curious spirit was the Grand Prize Winner. For her overall win, Amy received prize winnings of $2,500 along with her new lawn mower. The judges chose Rochelle Zambrowski of Toccoa, GA, and her picture from Scotland as Second Prize. Rochelle received a $1,000 prize along with the mower.

Fan Favorite winners were Juanita May of Mayfield, KY, Susan Blackwell of Lombard, IL and Stephanie Davis of Massillon, OH.
