MILWAUKEE (November 18, 2015) — Briggs & Stratton Corporation's (NYSE: BGG) EXi Series Engine was named a home category winner in Popular Science’s 28th Annual Top 100: Best of What’s New Awards.
Searching for breakthrough products and technologies, Popular Science editors review thousands of submissions to find products that show significant innovation in their category. Judged on quality of design, originality, ambition and scope of the project, the 100 winners make up 12 categories including engineering, entertainment, green and health and home, among others.
Briggs & Stratton’s EXi Series Engine is the first gas powered walk-behind mower engine that never needs an oil change*. Consumers no longer must endure messy, time-consuming oil changes. The EXi engine is designed with an automotive style paper air cleaner that features a radial press-fit seal design to keep the engine free of dirt and debris.
