Powering STEM Education
Briggs & Stratton is teaming up with The Hovercraft Project in 2026 to bring four exciting days of STEM education to Milwaukee area schools! The Family Fun Day and Summerfest showcases give visitors a preview of how The Hovercraft Project works with kids.
This partnership gives local 5th graders the best of both worlds: practical STEM-based problem solving on a team, and a whole afternoon of frenzied, flying fun!
Since 2009, 70,000+ students have already benefited by participating in this one-day project of building a hovercraft. The Hovercraft Project works in schools across the country educating 5th grade students on building a working and rideable hovercraft. Students have a hands-on learning experience from start to finish. Students strategize and implement STEM, team building and problem solving, throughout the day.
