The Raptor engine’s role in racing dates back to before the Briggs & Stratton Racing division began in 1991. The workhorse of our racing line for almost 20 years, this engine line CEASED production in 1999 due to impending E.P.A. regulations. We ask that you contact your source of supply about parts availability as many parts have been discontinued.

is the 4 horse block the same as the 5 horse raptor block?

Asked by: jcub
Not having better definition on which model and type engines you are inquiring about, if I assume the same family of engines (side verses overhead valve) the base cylinder is the same. On top of our previous disclaimer different engine specs have different accessories that might not be compatible between cylinders.
