Model, Revision, and Serial Numbers Description

What do the model, revision, and serial numbers look like?

We attach a data tag to every product that we produce. This tag contains unique information about your unit. When you Ask a Question to our Answer Center, our representative will require information off of this tag to resolve your incident. There are two versions of this data tag, units produced before December 2001 and after December 2001.

Pre December 2001:
The data tag for these units contain the following information which may be required to answer your incident.

  • Model Number with Dash: The model number with dash is a five (5) digit number followed by a dash (-) and a one (1) digit number (i.e.: 01292-1). This number is used to identify difference between models, some model names may have more than one model number.

  • Serial Number: The serial number is a unique seven (7) digit number that is used to track warranty and service information (i.e.: 7234567).

Post December 2001:
The data tag for these units contain the following information which may be required to answer your incident.

  • Model Number: The model number is a five (5) or six (6) digit number (i.e.: 01292, 020209). This number is used to identify the difference between models. Some model names may have more than one model number.

  • Revision Number: The revision number is a two (2) digit number (i.e.: 01). This number is used to identify changes that are made to a model during its production.

  • Serial Number: The serial number is a unique ten (10) digit number that is used to track warranty and service information (i.e.: 1001234567).

Providing this information when you create your incident will allow us to expedite your request in a timely manner. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
