Electric Starter Modification

Can I add an electric starter to my engine?

If your engine/equipment was not originally equipped with an electric starter, the addition of an electric starter would not be possible for the majority of our engines. In many cases, this type of modification can be costly as, at a minimum, the following parts/components would also be required:

  • Starter Switch

  • Starter Solenoid

  • Wiring for switch and solenoid

  • Charging capabilities/alternator

  • Battery (may purchase a B & S Battery)


In addition to cost, space limitations or interference caused by equipment components may also need to be considered.
