Maintenance Minder

I have purchased (2) of the meters and neither work! There was no reading on the meter in the packaging. When I look at the meters on line the all indicate in initial reading of 0.0! Looks like I have purchased two duds!
Asked by: JTDJ
You are correct, there should be an initial reading of 0.0. Please contact the dealer they were purchased from, they should be able to exchange them for you.

Is there a way to set for 2 cylinders or just double the time shown

I purchased this item for my AC AWS lawn tractor w/2 cylinder engine.
Asked by: Alloislvr
The maintenance minder is turned on by a pulse from the spark plug wire. It will not matter if it is one or two cylinders. It will counts the hours of run time. Once the engine shuts down the minder will shut off.

installation details

PLEASE offer some installation details for this device. What engines does it work with (single or dual cylinder?) What does it connect to? How big or small is this and how is it mounted? Does it require any batteries? What does it display, just accumulated running time, or RPMs too?
Asked by: Merlin
The installation instructions are currently unavailable through the website. However, the instructions do come in the packaging for the maintenance minder. This minder can be used on any 2 and 4 cycle Briggs & Stratton engine. It is roughly 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 1/2". It does not require batteries and has an adhesive on the back of the minder for mounting. The display shows the accumulated run time and will flash ever 25 hours. It does not show the RPMs.
