I have a Vanguard 385777-0115-E1 powering a Snapper zero turn mower. The B&S owners manual lists #492932 or #491056 but the B&S parts book lists #842921. I want to use the best filter for this engine; which should I use?

My engine has an oil filter with part number 492932. The new part number is 492932S. The new part is shorter than the one that is on my mower. Will this be okay and do I need to adjust the amount of oil? Model 445677-0827-E1. Thanks!

Asked by: jim6756
