I have been using oil 696854 in my Craftsman lawn tractor. I haven't been able to find the part locally. Is 492932s an acceptable replacement? (Some sites say the 492932s is the replacement for the discontinued 696854.) I am confused.

what is the difference in the black and yellow oil filters

I have a 23hp motor does it make any difference which one I use
Asked by: eddie64
The black filter is a standard filter where as the yellow filter is the extended life filter. If your engine parts list lists both of the filters as an option for your engine, you can use either.

695396 vs 696854

Hi, I just bought 12 * 696854 filters from Amazon. (husquvarna ride on mower with 22HP B&S/husquvarna endurance engine). My mower tells me to use the 696854. Problem is that Amazon delivered me 12 * 695396 Are these the same part/interchangeable? Thanks!
Asked by: Cheezel
Part number 695396 is the part number for the label only. In order to compare the part you received we would need the part number for the actual oil filter.
