Should clamps be used on both sides or does it fit tight enough without clamps and not leak gas?

I have a 20 HP B&S Intek Plus on a Sears riding mower. It does not have a fuel pump. This fuel filter is not rated for 20 HP. Is this the fuel filter I should use?

what is the outside diameter of these filter fittings or the inside diameter of the fuel line?

This is a Briggs & Stratton Genuine Part recommended for Briggs & Stratton small engines. I cannot say if this will work in you Susuki engine. You will want to contact the manufacturer of the engine to confirm the best fuel filter to use is.

What direction do you install this?

Does the larger end face the fuel tank or the carburetor? I do not see a flow direction arrow on it.
