Rated 4 out of 5 by from DOES THE JOB The engine seems to run well although a bit noisy. It has difficulty starting and requires extended use of the starter. I have only had it for three months so cannot really comment on reliability. The gas guage window is useless as it is too opaque but that is a tractor problem. I can guage the fuel level by looking at the back of the tank.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's not a Honda..... This engine is very noisy and is an absolute bugger to start. The carby is a sealed unit so is very difficult to clean with carby cleaner when ( not if ) you have to free it up. I have to disconnect the fuel line to squirt in cleaner. And yes I use fresh fuel and look after my machines. There is no fuel tap to assist in running the carby dry and I use pliers to squeeze the fuel line closed. The Husqvarna mower is great but give me another motor. This is my second experience with a Briggs and Stratton and will be my last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First 5 hours. So far a good little motor.I have been been kinda rough on a break in period mowing through 1 1/2 foot tall grass on the back acre and leveling some ground. My mower comes equipped with an automated choke so it starts in about 1-3 seconds no problem.I did just give it an oil change at the 5 hour mark, the oil was dark but to be expected for the first one.( Huscavarna GT48XLSI )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great power, smooth running I purchased last year and the most complained about topic is hard starting. This engine is made to be started at full choke no matter if warm or not. follow instructions and do what is supposed to be done and starts wonderfully
