Rated 5 out of 5 by from This engine packs a punch! My girlfriend bought me a Troy Bilt (TB 360) lawnmower with this engine on it for our anniversary. This motor is extremely powerful! Self propelled mower climbed steep hills in my yard typical of western Pennsylvania. Started on second pull out of the box, and subsequent hot starts with one pull. This very quiet engine cut through the thick spring grass with like a hot knive through butter. Although I can't comment on the long term reliability in that I have only had the mower for a week. It's also nice to see a company making quality products in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable The best thing I love about this product is reliability. I have owned this mower for over three yrs. and never had any issues as far as starting, performance or loss of power. The only preventive maintenance I've done is replace the spark plug and clean the filter. This mower is the best mower I have ever owned. I highly recommend this product due to the fact of its reliability and price.Sincerely,Tony Riojas

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful Engine I purchased a John Deere JS 46 mower with this engine. It has crazy power for a walk behind mower engine. The oil flter is a nice touch for heavy duty applications. It is quiet for the amount af power it has. My only concern is that it might have a weak shaft in it. After only three uses of the mower it broke without me even hitting anything. I have read reviews on other websites and have seen some of the same problems. Over all I would choose it over the Quantom engines I have owned in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from staring the best and built the best. I bought the engine from my neighbor in may of 2011. He bought it from sear about 2 years ago. the mower sat for about 2 year after the doc. said you need to stop mowing. The engine has a starter that i never use. I mow grass for my business. I do not prime of choke the engine. I just pull the cord one time and the engine firers. Two months after i bought the push mower i hit a stomp and bent the crankshaft but did not break the flywheel key. the engine was quite easy to tare down and rebuild with a new crankshaft.
