206 and M-series Manufacturing Update

On September 23rd, Briggs & Stratton Racing began custom machining the cylinder deck surface on all 206 and M-series racing engines.  This effort insures that racers get THE highest quality products in the marketplace.  “We are literally splitting hairs in terms of the measurable results but custom building ultimately eliminates any incentive or advantage to additional machining.  Cost-effective racing is about repeatability and this effort is the length a company passionate about racing goes in order to support their racers” – Stated Dave Klaus, Director-Briggs & Stratton Racing.

The current piston pop-up defined in the 206 or M-series rule set will not change. This custom, secondary machining operation will leave a slightly different surface appearance.
